Save $, Save the Earth Part 3
I wanted to write a newsletter for my website, but putting it on the site turned out to be way too much for a small sight, so after the first one I decided to try something different, and this is it! I sell electric scooters on my website; not just kids scooters, but big, street legal ones, and electric ATV’s and even a UTV and sea scooters. I love how clean and quiet they are, and how much money they save us, and how much money they can save you! And they’re so much FUN! And I want to share ideas about saving money and saving the environment with others. I want to learn new ways to cut down on my footprint. My Mom and Dad taught me when I was little that if you borrow something from someone you should return it in as good or better shape as when you borrowed it. And my favorite garden plaque says “We didn’t inherit the earth from our fathers, but are borrowing it from our Children”. I would like to improve the part of the earth I give back to my children and grandchildren. I lived in Woodstock, New York for 18 years where they have mandatory recycling. Now we’re just north of New Orleans, LA, and regular recycling is something pre-Katrina. My kids are worried that I’m going backwards, and I have been struggling with how much I want to take upon myself to encourage people to conserve and recycle. So I’ve decided to be an example. I’ve loaded the back of my car with cloth shopping bags, and I have a bunch for my husbands car, too. I am experimenting with natural cleaners (I have some great recipes on my website. Here’s a link: www.GoGreenElectricScooters.com click on Newsletter and Newsletter part 2). I’ve found some good, inexpensive cleaning products in stores, but to make them yourself is REALLY inexpensive! And I’ve started this blog to keep me honest and moving forward. My daughter has recently been diagnosed with Celiac disease, and gluten-free food can be VERY expensive, so that’s my next blog. (Maybe that one should be: “Save $, Save your Life!”) I’ll post a link when I have it up. It’s all related.
